Balloon Modelling

Friday, 6 February 2009

Balloon modelling is a fantastic form of entertainment for grown ups and kids alike, with the added bonus of giving your audience something to take home which will remind them of the day, and also allow you potential for product or logo placement. At Tumshies our balloon modelling artists are always creating new and exciting balloons in order to ensure a variety of balloon animals, balloon hats and all sorts of weird and wonderful creations.

Balloon modelling (or balloon twisting, as it is sometimes known) is divided into two main styles; single balloon modelling and multiple balloon modelling. As with any art form balloon twisters are constantly redefining techniques and evolving new methods of twisting to create different effects and looks. There is now a whole host of specialist vocabulary relating specifically to the art of balloon modelling.

Balloon modelling is a relatively new art form and although the origins cannot be pinpointed it is considered to have first been invented during the early decades of the 20th Century - towards the end of the 1930s in particular.

Tumshies balloon twisters work hand-in-hand with our facepainters, although they also work equally as well on their own. As previously mentioned balloon modelling at corporate events, product launches and the like is especially useful because the items created are taken home which serve as a physical reminder of the event or product for several days after the launch. It is also possible for balloons to carry logos and product slogans etc to provide great visual prompts after the event.
